HMS Cornwall (1:350)

The Trumpeter 1/350 scale HMS CORNWALL, 8" Heavy Cruiser

I built this ship in record time, thanks to the corona virus! Keel laid 7th March, along with a load of other kits. I then didn't touch it until the 26th, when I built her and EXETER up to the weather deck.. From then on I concentrated on her and finished her on 5th April, the anniversary of her sinking in 1942. Finally, added the ships flight to her on the 6th.

All done, apart from the Ship's flight.. Port side.

Foc'sle, showing off the anchor chains..

Bridge detail

Ship's flight now aboard...

Quarterdeck

Starboard side on, Commodore's pennant flying from the mainmast.

Taken inside to try to show off the rigging against a light background...

I have to say, this was a very nice kit to build.. It's probably my best effort, so far...
