Finally completed the Trumpeter Queen Elizabeth! This has taken me almost a year, due to me losing interest, mainly down to the crap painting instructions provided by Trumpeter! I've had to repaint it several times as I've discovered photographs showing what the scheme actually looked like! I also think they got a few of the actual colours wrong... All things considered, I'm amazed that this has come out as well as it has! Not the best I've ever made, but not the worst either...
The rigging is done with ezline - so much better than melted sprue!!! Also note the pom pom shields, scratch made from a margarine tub lid! I added these as all the photo's Iv'e seen of her show them fitted...
You can just make out her ship's crest on the front of the bridge superstructure... Also note the Port side navigation light...
